Authority Structure

This sections specifies, albeit briefly, what authority goes with which level of person in the administrative area. Please note the assumption that the administration data is kept separately from the conference data. The problem is one of too tight coupling.

This is because on a global system with multiple owners, management structure will reflect the owner's requirements. This may require owner specific changes which could make the structure incompatible with other global RCCS sites, which could prevent conference sharing.

System Manager

Parameters set by sysmgr:

• Area names
• titles & descriptions
• Distributed (shared) areas.

Area Editors

Parameters set by Editors:

• Editor & moderator names
• conf assigned
• conference name, title, description
• Distributed conferences.

Conference Moderators

• Subject names, descriptions
• Distributed subjects

File Types for Members

Member Files:

• Billing Info --
• Name, addr, CSZ, billing period, type,
• Member status, user ID[16]
• Resume
• Change/Action Log
• Private msg queue
